In September 2019, Neihuang County reached an agreement with the national planning and design unit China Fifth Ring (formerly the Fourth Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry) to use advanced circulating fluidized bed gasification technology for centralized gas production. The advanced nature lies in the fact that no tar, phenolic substances, wastewater and other pollutants are produced during the entire production process. Neihuang County Ceramic Park’s clean industrial gas centralized gas production project has a total investment of 1.03 billion yuan and covers an area of 162 acres.It was included in the "Central Ecological Environment Fund Project Reserve". Construction started in April 2020. During this period, it overcame the impact of many factors such as the COVID-19 epidemic, heavy rainstorms, autumn and winter control, and completed the 21-month construction cycle in only 17 months.
According to Li Chengfeng, secretary-general of the Henan Ceramic Industry Green Development Association, the clean industrial gas centralized gas production project in Neihuang County Ceramics Park is designed to produce 2.4 billion Nm³ of clean industrial gas per year, with a calorific value of 1350Kcal/Nm³, equivalent to a calorific value of 396 million natural gas. cubic meters, with an annual output value of approximately 850 million yuan, which can meet the supply of clean industrial gas to all ceramic construction companies in Neihuang Ceramics Industrial Park.
It is understood that after a recent trial operation, gas supply will be concentrated to enterprises in October.

The clean industrial gas produced by the centralized gas production project can meet the second-class natural gas standard. This means that starting from this year, Neihuang ceramics enterprises will not be affected by air control and can produce as usual in autumn and winter.
The fuel used in the centralized gas production project is blue charcoal and coal. It is expected to reduce the total emissions of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, etc. for Neihuang Ceramics Park by about 860 tons per year. The overall reduction accounts for 35% of the total annual emissions of the park. %;
Among them, sulfur dioxide emissions can be reduced by more than 95%; solid waste can be reduced by about 100,000 tons.
