This 114-square-meter residence in Taiwan was designed by Shuixiang Design Company. It is the home of a couple engaged in the technology industry. The couple attaches great importance to the accuracy and practicality of space measurement, prefers intuitive functions, and directly feels and comprehends the beauty of home with their hearts.
Therefore, when designing the space, the designer used a large number of geometric elements and irregular cutting surfaces, as well as rich color embellishments, to create a rational yet dynamic and interesting home space.
In terms of decoration design, the space is based on gray and white, with cement-colored floors and gray-white paint walls, paired with dark gray L-shaped sofas, light gray round dining tables, and log-colored round tables. The shape of the coffee table makes the whole space very simple and elegant.
The walls are painted with paint on various substrates to create natural textures instead of the artificial sculptured feel of ceramic tiles. The base material uses the white oak bark dyeing method, which is scraped and stacked over and over again on the wall to create different gray scales and gradient color block levels, making the entire space look more textured and layered.
The designer used minimalist lines and added exquisite furniture such as orange leather benches, black leather chairs, vermilion paint walls, and lake blue walls into the gray-white space. Elements and lively and bright color elements cut out fine organic blocks of contrasting colors, softening the rationality with color and bringing a sense of color impact to the visual senses.
Finally, in terms of space design, lines of different depths and lengths construct individual volumes, cleverly cutting out uses, transforming and guiding space divisions, extending isolated but uninterrupted multi-functional areas, and utilizing different The changes in angles, shades and colors enhance the different dimensions of each area. Each space seems to be a rectangular volume filled in the entire carrier.
